I do not generally write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I wanted a pool inspection done on a house I was purchasing and I did not have a referral. I found Synergy Pool through a Google search and John was awesome! After spending 20 minutes on the phone, I decided John was the guy I wanted to do the inspection. He clearly knew the ins and outs of pools. The pool on this house is an infinity pool with solar heating and salt cells. John was on time for the inspection and very thorough. He spent almost two hours inspecting and testing all facets of the pool. Then he spent another hour sharing his findings with us before he wrote up his report. Once the report was written, John took time to explain it in greater detail. There were some things identified which needed to be investigated further and possibly fixed. John provided referrals for these items. He also volunteered to go back out to the property to further evaluate a potential problem with the pool. Not having a pool in the past, John really helped educate me on the many facets of owning a pool. I will definitely use him as a resource in the future.
I am a home inspector, and John has been a great resource for us and our clients. My company does not perform comprehensive pool inspections and I know that our clients will be in good hands with John.
John was referred to us from our home inspector because we wanted a detailed pool inspection during escrow. John was super helpful and very thorough with our pool inspection giving us details about all of the equipment and even got on the roof to check our solar panels for pool heating. His report was returned to us very quickly and showed all of the issues he found, giving us a clear picture of what we were buying.
I would highly recommend him as he is not only great at his job, he is super pleasant to work with!
John was suggested to us by our agent for a house that we considering. I was happy with his inspection because not only did he do a good job of telling us everything that was good and bad about the pool, its hardware, water quality, and its equipment, but also gave us estimates on what things would cost etc. We had no clue about handling pools, so he was really patient in explaining all the inner workings of it, which I very much appreciate. Even after the inspection he was attentive to our questions via email. All in all, a great job done right!
Where do we begin? John is as knowledeable, professional, and as thorough as they get. He is also very nice to work with and takes the time to explain things in lay terms. We hired John to inspect a 30+ y/o old pool at a property that we are in escrow with in San Diego. And while we knew the pool would have issues, we had no idea the severity of the safety and electrical problems would be as serious as they are. In fact, it amazed us that someone would even go near the pool given the electrical risks as a result of the equipment not being bonded. Even the pool light—the most basic thing—did not have a GFI outlet. We moved from NY to San Diego 6 months ago and this is our first home purchase in CA. We had a pool installed in our previous home so we are familiar with some of the basics in terms of maintenance and state safety codes. John's inspection included a comprehensive 50 page report covering everything and identifying general and specific conditions. As a result, this invaluable inspection will contribute greatly to the overall bottom line we are willing to pay for this house during the contingency period.
Thank you John (and Eva)!
Our Realtor suggested we use John for our pool inspection on a (old) house we were buying and we couldn't have had a better experience. He's knowledgeable, thorough, and fair. He suggested a few things to pay attention to but by no means threw the original owners under the bus. He was easy to talk to; like someone you've known for years. We will certainly use John again in the future and are happy to recommend him.
John was super knowledgeable, on time, and very helpful. We had him inspect a pool at a house we were considering purchasing. His report was well worth the money.
I had John Groh perform a pool inspection during escrow. He was on-time to our appointment, and while it was slightly sprinkling that day, he tried to help me as best and quickly he could before it started raining harder, which was very helpful since it helped us avoid having to reschedule for our short deadline to perform the inspection.
I watched as John inspected each part of the pool, and he took the time to explain what he looked at. He was helpful in explaining how each part should be properly maintained and was easy to understand.
I would highly recommend John for inspecting your pool.
John was excellent to work with. His inspection very thorough and he was knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had. Any questions we had after the inspection,
John was very prompt in responding back. When John did not have the answers for something he would research the question and provide the information without having to follow up with him.
Hired John to do our pool inspection in Tierrasanta. He was an absolute pleasure to work with - full of information and very personable and courteous. As buyers who never owned a pool or spa before we were quite nervous but John gave us a good introduction to it all and helped us understand all the work our pool would need. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
We worked with John G. on our pool inspection prior to listing. He's great! Courteous. Knowledgeable. And the price couldn't be beat. John and Synergy are highly recommended for an inspection you can trust!
John was a very enjoyable individual and very thorough and meticulous. We were completely unfamiliar with pool operations or maintenance. Bought a house we loved and it had pool. We received a crash course in both. We learned enough to make us feel comfortable, with a good base to be able to learn more. Received the report today and it is beautiful and concise. Will use or recommend John and Synergy when the need arises.
